The Ferrari 308 GTB was built in 1976 for the American market. The body is made of steel, which is very rare in
the year 1976. In this year 700 pieces 308 GTBs were built. Most of the 700 were
built with a polyester body for the European market.
The engine is a 3.0
liter V 8 90° with 4 dual Weber carburetors and 255 BHP. The engine has 2
distributors for the ingnition.
Experts say the early types (like
this one) and the latest types 328 are the best of the 308-328 range.
I
bought the car in 1996.
I changed the front bumper for an European style.
I renewed the brakes, suspension, some carpets and cam belts
in the summer 2003.
Now the car is better than in 1996 when I bought it. The
engine,
inside and outside is in top condition.
In 2002 we had
the opportunity to visit the Ferrari
Factory with the 308 GTB.
The car was
sold mid 2004.
